NEW DELHI: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee began the Durga Puja festivities on Mahalaya, which fell on Sunday, by releasing her debut album of special songs, titled ‘Utsaver Gaan’.
She has not just sung a song ‘Dhak dumadum’, along with singer-turned-politician Indranil Sen and Aditi Munshi, but has also written the lyrics of all the songs and composed the music of the album.
The album comprises of eight Puja-special songs sung by the likes of Jit Ganguly, Sriradha and Monomoy, besides her Trinamool Congress party MLAs Babul Supriyo and Indranil.
