Despite being the fifth of five QBs selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Mac Jones had the best rookie season, leading his fellow first-year signal-callers in passing yards, touchdowns and wins on his way to being named to the Pro Bowl. Naturally, Jones’ expectations have been raised for season two, but head coach Bill Belichick believes his QB is ready for whatever the league can throw at him in 2022. “His physical work and conditioning, working on his mechanics, working on his footwork, working on his understanding of our offense…defenses…He’s made tremendous strides. He did a great job last year, but he’s starting from a much, much higher point.”
