Hindus for Labour says party would strengthen bilateral ties between India, Pakistan | India News – Times of India

LONDON
Hindus for Labour is calling for a future Labour government to strengthen bilateral relations between India and Pakistan in order to build strong communities in Britain, particularly in light of the Leicester violence.
Speaking at a fringe event at the Labour conference in Liverpool on Monday night, Dr Neeraj Patil, chair of Hindus for Labour, said: “Good bilateral relations between the two countries are essential for India and Pakistan to build strong communities here in the UK because our communities are deeply connected with their native countries, and most of us have extended families in that part of the world.”.
“We may practice different religions, but there is more in common that unites us than divides us.
He claimed the Kashmir motion passed at the party conference in September 2019 was “misrepresented to the British Hindu communities as anti-Hindu and anti-India”.
