Many Londoners were taking the heat in stride on Monday, even as they looked anxiously to Tuesday when the thermostat was expected to climb again.
Mona Suleiman, 45, said she was worried her flat would be unbearably hot for her children overnight, as it is on the top floor.
“Especially at night, in the summer in my flat it’s already too hot,” Suleiman said.
