TIRUPATI: Chief Justice of India Justice UU Lalit on Sunday participated in the Hanumantha Vahana Seva procession at Tirumala annual Brahmotsavams.
The Chief justice of India and his family members who arrived at the main entrance of the hill temple were accorded a traditional welcome by the priests and officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams led by Chairman YV Subba Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy in the morning.
After worshipping the presiding deity inside the sanctum sanctorum for a brief while, CJI along with his family members took part in the Hanumantha Vahana Seva procession for a brief while.
The CJI also lent his shoulder to carry the Hanumantha Vahanam along with the vahana bearers and later interacted with the cultural troupes performing before the procession.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu high court chief justice T Ravi also took part in the Hanumantha Vahana seva procession at Tirumala on Sunday.
